Carbon Offsetting For Funerals—Beckenham

At Mears Family Funerals, we are committed to offering meaningful and sustainable farewell ceremonies. In partnership with Tree Nation, we provide families with the opportunity to offset the carbon emissions generated by a funeral through tree planting in the UK. For £95, trees are planted to offset 340 kg of carbon emissions, including those produced by our private ambulance, hybrid hearse, cremation, and related activities. Additional trees can also be purchased for £5 each to offset limousine travel if requested. We also offer live streaming and tribute services, allowing loved ones to take part and share memories. Beyond funerals, the carbon footprint of our 12 branches is offset through Tree Nation’s CO2 Neutral Team scheme, with 26 trees planted each month. Families and friends may also choose to plant extra trees in memory of a loved one, creating a lasting legacy.
